Position Overview


The successful candidate will teach various business and communications courses, preparing students for college and career pathways. This full-time position offers the opportunity to shape our dynamic business education program while incorporating modern digital media and communication skills.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging curriculum across multiple business disciplines
  • Integrate current business trends and technologies into lesson plans
  • Maintain and update digital journalism and media equipment
  • Create authentic learning experiences through community partnerships
  • Guide students in developing real-world business and communication skills
  • Potentially advise business-related clubs or activities (FBLA, School Newspaper, etc.)
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments
  • Participate in professional development opportunities
  • Maintain industry connections to enhance student learning experiences

Qualifications


Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business, Communications, or related field
  • Maine Teaching Certification or eligibility to obtain certification
  • Strong knowledge of current business practices and digital media
  • Proficiency with industry-standard software and technology
  • Excellence in written and verbal communication
  • Understanding of current economic and business trends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Education, or related field
  • Industry experience in business or communications
  • Experience teaching digital journalism or media production
  • 3+ years teaching experience
  • Background in student publication advising
  • Experience with multimedia and digital content creation
